Six Flags Over Texas celebrates ¡Viva la Fiesta! now through May 5 with live entertainment, park decor and a special overlay on the Casa Magnetica crooked house. Before our visit, Six Flags Over Texas was hit with flood waters due to a major storm that came through the area, leaving sections and rides closed. Construction has also progressed on the two children's attractions coming to Bugs Bunny Boomtown.

The Seven Seas Food Festival has made its way back to SeaWorld San Antonio on select dates from March 21 to May 27, 2024. This year's festival features over sixty fresh global cuisine choices, along with over fifty specialty beverages. April 8, 2024 saw Six Flags Over Texas become a unique place to catch the total solar eclipse with rides, viewing areas and a fireworks display. The park is also continuing construction on their two new children's attractions: Sylvester & Tweety Pounce and Bounce and Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters. Six Flags Over Texas is also working on other projects as well, including EV chargers in the parking lot.

Celebrate spring at Fiesta Texas with ¡Viva la Fiesta! Taking place March 29 to April 28, the event features vibrant decor and photo opportunities throughout the park, authentic mariachi music, themed live entertainment and the Taste of ¡Viva la Fiesta! food festival.

Construction progress continues on Fiesta Texas' 2024 ride additions, along with the general retheme and expansion of the DC Universe park area. We also find new Easter eggs around the park, which include several newly-themed billboards. Also new at the park is additional dining signage, a new way to order food from your table and Hurricane Harbor-related changes as its opening day approaches.

Scream Break returns to Six Flags Over Texas from March 9 to 16, this time with a completely new theme. Attendees can experience the return of Casa Magnetica as the Lōkahi Welcome Center, the all-new Curse of the Polynesian Palm haunted house, multiple live entertainment offerings, specialty characters and a wide selection of adult beverages from themed bars. Six Flags Over Texas celebrates 50 million riders on the classic Shock Wave roller coaster with a ceremony featuring a ribbon cutting, giveaways and special behind-the-scenes tour. Catapult Falls at SeaWorld San Antonio is a first-of-its-kind log flume attraction. The ride features eleven boats, holding eight riders each. After meandering through calm waters, Catapult Falls launches riders at speeds of 30 feet per second through the first splashdown. Soon enough, the attraction travels up a unique elevator lift and down a 53-degree drop, the steepest of any log flume.

SeaWorld San Antonio announced today that March 2nd will be the opening date for Catapult Falls. The highly anticipated thrill ride is the world’s first launched flume coaster and features the steepest drop in any flume ride. It also has the unique distinction of being the only flume ride in North America to feature a vertical lift.

Our visit to Six Flags Over Texas begins with a bizarre new layout for entering the park's parking lot. Once inside, our full tour of the park includes information about current ride closures and refurbishment projects, along with a look at the new dining upgrades at All American Cafe and Johnny Rockets. SeaWorld San Antonio is letting the good times roll as Mardi Gras returns to the park starting this Saturday, January 13 and running through February 25. SeaWorld’s Mardi Gras celebration transforms Texas’ biggest and best theme park into a jazzed-up, New Orleans-style atmosphere complete with live music, festive characters, and a Mardi Gras-inspired menu featuring both all-new and returning Cajun and Creole food favorites.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas goes all out for the New Year and 2024 was no exception. Though Six Flags Over Texas has not made an official announcement (and may not), the new 2024 El Rio Lento project appears to be quietly cancelled. Six Flags Over Texas is set to unveil El Rio Lento, one of the world’s longest log flumes. A makeover of the world’s first-ever log ride, El Aserradero, El Rio Lento will feature one new lift hill and two big drops, including a steep nosedive.

SeaWorld San Antonio is thrilled to share that the much- anticipated “Catapult Falls” will now open in Spring 2024.  The groundbreaking coaster will be the world’s first launched flume coaster with North America’s only vertical lift.  It also will have riders screaming in anticipation of a speedy downward plunge with the steepest drop of any flume ride.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas, The Thrill Capital of South Texas, today announced park enhancements, thrilling upgrades and three new family-friendly thrill rides creating the largest DC Universe at any amusement park in the United States. The new rides - CYBORG™ Cyber Revolution, SHAZAM!™ Tower of Eternity and METROPOLIS Transit Authority were presented during the annual FT92 fan event. One of the most anticipated events each year, FT92 highlights the latest park developments and new attraction announcements.

Today, SeaWorld San Antonio announced that their new Catapult Falls attraction will be delayed until 2024. SeaWorld sent the update to pass members, which states, “Our upcoming attraction Catapult Falls - the first launched, flume coaster in the world - is now expected to open in 2024. While we hoped to introduce this exciting thrill to our fans this year, sometimes it takes longer than expected to bring ‘firsts’ to life.”
