Casa Magnetica Reopens, Tricks and Treats is Family-Friendly Halloween Fun at Six Flags Over Texas
Tricks and Treats, a daytime Halloween celebration, has debuted at Six Flags Over Texas for 2025. The event features new entertainment, such as the Spectral Sisters and the Skelebration Dance Party. A reimagined trick-or-treat trail has popped up in France, featuring interactive stops along the way. The gravity-defying Casa Magnetica has also made its return to the park, providing another family-friendly attraction during the fall season.
Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas Unveils Details for Seven Themed Lands, Including Minions, Shrek and SpongeBob SquarePants
Universal Destinations & Experiences unveiled more details about the themed lands kids and families will experience at Universal Kids Resort. The new resort specifically designed and developed for families with young children will open in 2026 in Frisco, Texas. Kids and their families will be able to explore, imagine, and play while enjoying attractions in seven lands made for kids featuring iconic brands and characters.

As the tallest, fastest, longest and first-ever giga (300+-foot-tall) dive coaster in the world, this one-of-a-kind thrill ride will trample six monumental world records.

The scariest time of the year, Fright Fest, has returned to Six Flags Over Texas! This year's event is highlighted by new haunted houses, including The Strangers: No Escape and EverSmile Industries. Other favorites, such as The Conjuring Universe and Terror at the Polynesian Palm, also return. Join us for POV walkthroughs of every haunted house, as well as a look at the return of entertainment in Southern Palace Theatre and reviews of several speciality food items. Hawaiian Falls Mansfield 2025 Tour & Review - Family Water Park with Great Atmosphere
Water park season isn't over yet! Hawaiian Falls Mansfield, located in Mansfield, Texas, originally opened in 2008. Today, the water park boasts over a dozen water slides, a lazy river, wave pool and multiple children's areas. Recently, Ripley's Believe it or Not! acquired all Hawaiian Falls water parks.
Six Flags Over Texas Announces Unprecedented Benefit with 2026 Season Pass
To celebrate the first anniversary of the merger between Cedar Fair and Six Flags, today Six Flags Over Texas announced an unprecedented benefit with its 2026 season pass—unlimited access to more than 40 Six Flags Entertainment Corporation parks for the remainder of 2025 and all of 2026. North America’s largest regional amusement-resort operator will launch this limited-time anniversary offer in every park beginning next week.
Historic Renovations Happening at Six Flags Over Texas, New Record-Breaking Dive Coaster Updates
Summer 2025 marches forward at Six Flags Over Texas and improvements throughout the park also continue. Additional track pieces for the park's 2026 record-breaking dive coaster have arrived. The construction site now also has a few footers poured with more coming soon. A new entertainment offering, Dueling Pianos, is playing at Crazy Horse Saloon for a limited time through July 27. The park's historic Southern Palace Theatre is undergoing major renovations to prepare it for future entertainment offerings.
Dive Coaster Construction Begins, Dining Refreshes, Summer Weekday Operations Updates
Visible construction is under way on Six Flags Over Texas' 2026 giga dive coaster addition as the parking lot is prepped for footers. Additional track and support pieces have also arrived. New refill stations, the re-debut of All American Cafe and other refreshes highlight our visit. Last year, our summer weekday visit to the park left a lot to be desired. This year, however, we were pleasantly surprised by our experiences.
El Diablo Removed, New Dining Debuts, More Buildings Demolished at Six Flags Over Texas
Capital projects continue to move along at Six Flags Over Texas in rapid fashion. El Diablo, which had closed in November, was completely removed during our visit! Rancho de Pollo, along with one of the restrooms at front gate, are fully demolished. Dining transformations continue, starting with JB's Smokehouse BBQ. The restaurant has reopened with a refreshed menu, which we try out, and serving line. All American Cafe has temporarily closed as its dining experience transformation is under way and smaller stands appear to be turning into drink refill stations. Our visit didn't flow without camera and security woes, however.
Serious Building & Dining Upgrades Under Way at Six Flags Over Texas | April 2025 Updates
It has been two months since our last visit to Six Flags Over Texas and tons of significant dining and beautification projects are under way at the park. Major work is happening near the front gate, buildings are being demolished and restaurants are undergoing full remodels. On top of this, paint refreshes continue on both Titan and Sidewinder rides. Now that the park has added an executive chef to their team, new food is rolling out at multiple dining locations. We've never seen this many projects happening at once across the park!

Recent FAA Filings Point to a Record-Breaking Drop for 2026 Dive Coaster
Though Six Flags Over Texas has not yet shared statistics for their 2026 dive coaster addition, recent Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) filings point to the attraction potentially having a record-breaking first drop. Several filings, all located on or near the former site of La Vibora, describe structures for an amusement park ride that will exceed 300 feet tall.

Titan Repaint Begins at Six Flags Over Texas, La Vibora Bobsled Coaster Almost Completely Demolished
2025 is here and Six Flags Over Texas is hard at work on several projects. Demolition of La Vibora and El Diablo continue on, while other refurbishment projects around the park are under way. Titan, the park's biggest roller coaster, is also undergoing a transformation with a fresh paint scheme.
‘Bigger and Brighter’: Six Flags Over Texas Announces Massive Expansion of Holiday in the Park Celebration for 2024
North Texas’ premier Christmas event, Holiday in the Park®, returns to Six Flags Over Texas bigger, brighter, and better than ever. This year’s festival will feature seven new shows and four new seasonal activities for the whole family, partnered with fan favorites such as photos with Santa, thrilling rides and dazzling lights. Holiday in the Park opens Sunday, Nov. 24 and runs weekends and select weekdays through Dec. 31.
