Schlitterbahn New Braunfels' 2026 season is officially under way, featuring their new Wasserbahn Racers ride and array of iconic tube chutes and classic water slides. Schlitterbahn first opened in 1979 and features the world's longest water park ride, The Falls. The park has also won "Best Water Park" awards for over two decades. Schlitterbahn New Braunfels on Wednesday unveiled Wasserbahn Racers, a new high-speed face-first mat racing attraction debuting for the 2026 season. Designed for fast-paced competition and splash-filled excitement, the three-lane racer will headline a landmark year at the world-famous waterpark and rolls out notable enhancements across the property. Built into the park’s natural hillside near the Comal River, Wasserbahn Racers takes advantage of Schlitterbahn’s iconic Hill Country landscape to create a visually stunning, naturally integrated ride experience.
