Viva La Fiesta Brings the Rhythm, Flavor and Thrills of Fiesta to Six Flags Fiesta Texas

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — April 3, 2026 Six Flags Fiesta Texas will celebrate San Antonio’s most colorful season with the return of Viva La Fiesta, a lively cultural event featuring Latin-inspired entertainment, specialty food and drinks, festive décor and world-class thrills. The celebration takes place on select dates from April 3 through April 26, filling the park with music, movement and the unmistakable spirit of San Antonio.

“Viva La Fiesta reflects the heart and culture of San Antonio,” said Robert Bustle, park manager of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. “From live music and dance to unforgettable food and themed experiences, this event brings Fiesta traditions to life in a way only Six Flags Fiesta Texas can offer.”

A Festival Soundtrack Across the Park

Live entertainment powers the celebration throughout Viva La Fiesta, transforming plazas and theaters into vibrant performance spaces:

  • Baila Esta Cumbia (Teatro Fiesta) — A high-energy tribute to Selena featuring iconic hits, dynamic choreography and nonstop rhythm

  • Mariachi Los Soberanos (Teatro Fiesta) — Traditional mariachi music celebrating Mexican heritage with passionate vocals and soaring trumpets

  • Sonido9 (Texas State Square) — A nine-piece ensemble delivering salsa, bachata and cumbia rhythms that keep guests dancing

  • Bubble Pop! (Pete’s Eats Stage) — A family-friendly musical revue filled with bubble-gum pop hits from decades past

  • Rockville Beach Party (Rockville High Theater) — Opening April 11, this indoor musical celebration features nostalgic summertime classics

Guests are encouraged to check the Six Flags app on the day of their visit for showtimes.

Bold Fiesta Flavors and Festive Sips

Viva La Fiesta offers a park-wide menu inspired by Latin traditions and Six Flags favorites including:

  • Mexican street tacos featuring carnitas, asada or al pastor

  • Mini trompo skewers and savory brochetas

  • Southwest favorites such as potato tacos, Armadillo Eggs, Mexican fruit cups and pan dulce

  • Sweet treats including boysenberry paletas, buñuelos and BBQ mac and cheese topped with brisket

Specialty cocktails, mocktails and Latin beer offerings are available at select locations.

A Day Dedicated to A Kid Again

In honor of the citywide Fiesta San Antonio celebration, Sunday, April 19, is dedicated to highlighting A Kid Again, a nonprofit organization that provides cost-free, year-round outings and support to children with life-threatening conditions and their families. The day will feature additional moments of entertainment and fun designed to help guests of all abilities feel like a kid again.

Limited-Edition Fiesta Medal Inspired by Legend

Six Flags Fiesta Texas has released a 2026 Fiesta Medal inspired by the legend of the Chupacabra, blending Fiesta tradition with the park’s evolving mythology. The design reflects the recent Chupacabra retheming and a series of mysterious sightings hinted at on social media, including glowing eyes and unexplained activity often appearing during full moons.

These subtle clues point toward a new attraction coming in 2027, with more details yet to be revealed. The Fiesta Medal serves as both a collectible keepsake and a symbol of a legend that is only beginning to awaken. The medal is available at all major merchandise locations while supplies last.

Thrills and Family Fun You Can Only Find at a Theme Park

Viva La Fiesta stands apart because the celebration happens inside a world-class theme park. At Six Flags Fiesta Texas, guests can enjoy live music and festive flavors, then jump straight into unforgettable thrills.

From flying through the air at speeds reaching 75 mph on signature attractions to making memories together on family favorites like the scenic train ride, the event blends San Antonio tradition with nonstop excitement. For generations, Six Flags Fiesta Texas has been part of what makes Fiesta a party, bringing families together to celebrate, laugh and create lasting memories.
